From the Seine in 2007.
They say both are lovely this time of year. But I guess any time on the Italian Riviera or the City of Light can’t be bad. Especially when you’re with a wonderful traveling companion and you’re flying out of a place like Jacksonville. I plan to make the most of the time abroad.
Last time I was in Paris was 2007. Fortunately, it’s one of those cities that doesn’t change much in any way that matters. I’m assuming they still serve wine. I’m assuming the Seine at twilight still evokes a man’s old, best dreams.
I’ll be back in a couple of weeks. Not that it will make any difference in this blog — where months sometimes elapse between posts — but my eight loyal readers deserve to be kept in the loop.
By the way, I’ve taken a personal vow not to post any of it to Facebook or Instagram. That kind of thing can get annoying, can’t it? Anyway, I want to enjoy the trip, not market it. Maybe I’ll post a few photos here later. Whether anybody wants to see them or not. Ciao.
I’ve never been to France but have been in Italy twice—both times in October. The weather was perfect and the sights (and food) were unforgettable. Have a fabulous trip!
Ps—perfect timing for Cinghiale.
How marvelous! DWTS – Tommy Chong said jail taught to him to live in the moment.
You will definitely want to do that on your trip.
I agree with Deb – this should be the perfect time of year to go. Enjoy!
I’m glad you and Teresa can make this trip to Europe. Celebrate it!
