Just in case you forget which neighborhood you're in.
Some sunlit porches on Hubbard Street.
House at the corner of Seventh and Walnut.
Confederate Park geese. They're filthy creatures.
I love these ducks. They always think I have bread for them.
In praise of Confederate women.
Like I said ...
There are quite a few mom and pop churches in Springfield.
Apartments on Liberty Street
If you lived here, you'd be home right now.
I have a weakness for flags myself.
Basic, but elegant. On Seventh Street.
They say it’s going to get rather cold tonight. Maybe as low as 20 degrees, which for this part of the country is sort of apocalyptic. I’m told the previous record for this date was 21 degrees — in 1926. When I took my walk around the neighborhood this afternoon, everybody was outside draping their plants in sheets and plastic.
Me, I just have a few pots I’ll bring inside. Anyway, I’m OK with anything above zero this time of year. And in Florida, the rare spell of chilly weather comes and goes in about a day. So no worries.
Love the photos. Thanks.
You’re welcome. 🙂
Yes, the pictures are beautiful.
Thanks, John.
I agree–great photos, I enjoyed them!
You’re all too kind.
