This row of mysterious chevrons is the only clue I’ll offer for this one. For one point, tell me the name of the landmark on which they’re seen. Hint: It’s nowhere near an interstate highway.
For three points, identify the company responsible for this particular chevron design, and what specific product sported it.
A partial answer will be worth partial points.
Carhenge?
I’m guessing that it’s a car logo, but I don’t tknow the model.
Mark gets one point, for a total of 10.
Judging from the lack of responses to the second part of the question, maybe another hint is in order. Here it is:
Carhenge, Chevrolet
Wrong make. I’ll need the model, too.
Rats!
I have been looking at cars until I’m ready to poke my eyes out and still can’t find the answer—and haven’t resorted to asking the menfolk. I’m going to guess a doubtful Dodge.
OK, one more clue: This car was made in the same year Francis Gary Powers became a household name.
How about a Ford Falcon.
Mike gets one point, for a total of 10 — for being the first to correctly identify the car company.
FORD FAIRLAINE
Deb gets one point, for a total of 20.
I’m fudging a little here. One point remains for giving me the full year, make and model I’m looking for.
Fairlane 500
1960 Ford Fairlane 500
Mike gets one point, for a total of 11.
So, what we were looking at was a 1960 Ford Fairlane 500.
I’ll post a few other pics of Carhenge. If you haven’t been there, it’s kind of a fun place to look around.
I’m giving myself a jillion points—that was tough.
