That’s a lonesome highway.

You might be able to identify this landmark, but do you know, offhand, the geological epoch represented by most of its fossils? That’s the one-point question.

For three points, tell why Uncle Sam prohibited people from visiting a huge chunk of this area from the World War II era to the mid-70s.

    How about Oligocene and it was made an aerial gunnery and bombing range during WWII then became the Badlands Bombing Range.
